Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT, Upskill 4.0 and UniCredit's Upskill Piemonte project kicks off to promote the local area and grow young people's technical and vocational skills

Four agribusiness and tourism companies are launching digital challenges to students of Higher Technical Institutes (ITS): the aim is to enhance the area's food and wine and landscape excellence, promote innovation in leading sectors and grow skills among young people, reducing the mismatch between training offerings and business demand.

The Upskill Piemonte project kicks off, "signed" by the CRT Development and Growth Foundation with Upskill 4.0, a spin-off of Ca' Foscari University Venice, in which UniCredit is a partner.

The companies that took the field are AV GROUP SRL and Sapori d'Italia srl for the tourism and hospitality sector; Gallesio Sandro agricultural company and Rete Agricola Biellese for agribusiness.

From the enhancement of the Alta Langa area and the Piedmont PGI hazelnut to the promotion of agricultural networks in the Biella area, from the encouragement of bicycle tourism on the shores of Lake Maggiore to the construction of a 2.0 brand identity in the Novara area, the four project challenges point to new forms of experiential marketing and digital communication to promote places, knowledge and responsible consumption in full respect of the environment and labor.

For four months (from October 2022 to the end of January 2023), through the platform devised by Upskill 4.0, the four selected companies will work with students from four ITSs following Design Thinking, a method for managing innovation processes that integrates people's needs with the opportunities offered by technology. The ITSs and companies will be supported by Upskill 4.0 project managers in the different stages up to the design of prototypes.
