Following the success of the first edition, the Venice Foundation officially launches the new edition of Upskill Venice, the initiative aimed at medium and small businesses, third sector entities, cultural associations and nonprofit entities in the Venice Metropolitan City that intend to launch innovation and development projects.
This year's project will once again feature collaboration between the Foundation and us at Upskill 4.0: selected companies will experiment with young ITS technicians in the implementation of new products and processes, implementing or adapting business models in new competitive environments.
Among the main objectives of the project is the growth of the competitiveness of Venetian companies through the combination of 4.0 technologies and traditional knowledge, and the promotion of new opportunities for ITS students to meet local companies in search of specific technical and professional skills.
The initiative is implemented under the patronage of the Venice Rovigo Chamber of Commerce and Confindustria Venezia and aims in particular to support economic and third-sector activities rooted in the local context. Targeted by the project are medium, small and micro-enterprises, third sector entities, cultural and sports associations and nonprofit entities with an operational headquarters in the Metropolitan City of Venice.
The program will support up to eight projects.
In particular, the new edition of Upskill Venice intends to focus on:
- Established economic activities centered on know-how rooted in local culture now at risk of marginalization;
- Economic activities that aim to enhance cultural and natural heritage through innovative ways of promotion and communication;
- Non-profit activities that play a role in promoting cultural activities by promoting social cohesion at the territorial level.
Interested parties should submit their expressions of interest by 1 p.m. on Friday, July 22.
