After jointly implementing numerous active experimentation projects with companies and institutions on a national scale, Fondazione FITSTIC , an ITS that delivers 7 two-year post-diploma courses in ICT, and Upskill 4.0, a spin-off of Ca' Foscari University Venice, today Monday, June 13, signed an agreement to launch TACLAB - TECH FOR ARTS AND CRAFTS, a training and experimentation laboratory for technologies supporting the arts and high crafts.
The lab aims to promote the implementation of cutting-edge technology projects for enhancing the offerings of cultural institutions and enterprises active in the cultural and creative industries.
The agreement was signed by Gaudenzio Garavini, president of the Fitstic Foundation, and Stefano Micelli, president of Upskill 4.0, in the presence of Vincenzo Colla, councillor for economic development and green economy, labor, and training of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
The lab aims to become a real training ground for developing 4.0 technologies intended for the enhancement and promotion of cultural products and services. Thanks to Upskill 4.0, students enrolled in Fitstic Foundation will be able to deal with concrete technology development projects aimed at supporting museums, cultural institutions, exhibition spaces as well as creative and cultural enterprises with a focus on high craftsmanship.
At TACLAB, FITSTIC Foundation students will have the opportunity to train in innovation management methodologies, such as Design Thinking, and can actively participate in technology development projects accompanied by Upskill 4.0 project managers and ITS tutors. The projects already completed in the past two years with realities such as the Venice Biennale or with large artisans such as Orsoni have highlighted the contribution of young people to the path of renewing the forms of communication in the world of culture and business. Thanks to the skills gained in specific areas, from virtual reality to new digital archives, TACLAB students are becoming the protagonists of innovation in a sector that can benefit greatly from the use of digital.
