The second edition of Upskill Sicilia has begun
Selena Brocca e Alice Rizzetto were in Catania for the start of this new course sponsored by Fondazione Sicilia that involves the Web & Mobile Development class of theITS Steve Jobs Academy and of the ITS Volta of Palermo. UniCredit Region Sicilia is, as in the first edition, a partner in the initiative.
While waiting to know the companies involved, activities have already begun with one of the two ITSs (the one in Catania) with Selena Brocca e Alice Rizzetto who have organized a first training workshop to introduce students to this methodology. Since in Upskill 4.0 we always like to move from theory to practice, Selena and Alice organized a three-day Design Sprint with students.

Design Sprint is an accelerated way of applying the Design Thinking methodology and is perfect for making high-fidelity digital prototypes.
With ITS Steve Jobs students, it was decided to focus the Design Sprint on designing and prototyping a game that aims to raise awareness and educate on the topic of cybersecurity.
Apparently the students really liked the project. "The lectures on Design Thinking last December were very useful in preparation for this sprint moment: my classmates and I understood the importance of research and understanding user needs before the ideation and prototyping phase," was the comment of Fausto Foti, one of the students who participated in the training.
