Demis Marin has just reopened Ramosalso after the very short August break and has set to work to begin shaping the many ideas gathered in the Upskill Venezia project.
"We are still living off the hype! There have been so many ideas, suggestions over the months! It has been an ever-growing journey, opening our eyes to little aspects we had never considered. Upskill Venice is an exciting journey," Demis tells us over the phone.
After participating in the Upskill Venice project with students from TAM Biella and under the guidance of Elena Masi, Upskill 4.0 project manager. Demis began to reflect, and to change some aspects of the processes that lead to the promotion of his leaders.
Upskill projects allow companies to think outside the box, collaborate with young talent, supervised by a project manager. It is an exercise that has, first and foremost, an exploratory function but allows companies to foreshadow another way of running their businesses thanks to new technologies. Prototypes enable enterprises to become more aware, more capable of expressing a direction of travel and assessing a return on investment.
"Right now we don't have the resources to put up, for example, the site hypothesized by the students, but we have established a plan for growth and are moving forward in small steps. For example, the Only For You service has taken a whole different turn since the Upskill Venice project. And the little big results we are getting in these weeks in Only For You came out of the meetings with Elena Masi and the ITS TAM students."
"I always say that this path has served me to see myself differently, to take that plunge that we had not yet dared to take. We are a very small business in a complex city like Venice, so we have to make ends meet first. Participating in the project has given us extra grit, though. Now we have to continue!"
