The visit to the ADI Design Museum and the party from LOM

Last week, the Upskill 4.0 team had the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the history of Italian design at theADI Design Museum. Led by Stefano Micelli, we explored the historic Compasso d'Oro Collection, a testament to excellence in design, with iconic pieces from 1954 to the present, such as Gino Valle's Cifra 5 clock and Moretti's innovative camping tents.

It was a proud moment to see our work inside the ADI Design Index 2023 exhibition, which celebrates the best of contemporary Italian design every year. Our initiative, Upskill 4.0, was selected in the 'business research' categoryfor its contribution to innovation and the connection between young talent and the business world.

Upskill 4.0 aims to facilitate this meeting, not through improvisation, but through a structured approach based on Design Thinking and a system of co-design, creative development, soft skills and empowerment. The goal is to explore the potential of 4.0 technologies, supporting the territory and companies.

Also last week, we celebrated the inauguration of our new headquarters in Milan. The new headquarters is located at LOM - Locanda Officina Monumentale, a renovated farmhouse in the heart of Milan, a symbol of the transformation path we propose.

During the evening, we shared some reflections with Federica Colombo and Gianluca Carella from Politecnico di Milano on Design Thinking, with Alessandro Agostini of Vitruvio Virtual Reality (our partner and who will be sharing spaces with us at LOM) on technological projects, and with Andrea L opane of Laboratorio Lopane with whom we created for Upskill Milano a prototype that simulates a video game and thanks to a 3D visor users find themselves immersed in the workshop and can model the sheet metal of a vintage car to recreate pieces of its bodywork. The talk was masterfully led by Giampaolo Colletti director of Startupitalia.

This event was not only a celebration, but also a symbolic moment of our commitment to continuous innovation.
