Upskill Belluno: four new companies for second edition

The second edition of Upskill Belluno has begun! Last November 4 was the kick-off with the four companies participating in the project also promoted by Fondazione Cariverona with Upskill 4.0.

The goal of the project is to combine 4.0 technologies and craftsmanship know-how, thus contributing to the competitiveness of businesses in the province of Belluno.

This is the second time we have been in Belluno, and the reaction from companies in the area has been very warm, as always: by the way, we were from Dolomiti HUB, a company that participated in the first edition

We will work with these new four companies from November to February 2025, again with the help of young ITS talent and students from the Venice School of Management at Ca' Foscari University Venice.

At Upskill 4.0, we believe that reconnecting the energy of young people with the know-how of established generations is a formidable lever for the country's growth.

Through our operational and scientific coordination throughout the project, the goal of the project is to support the revitalization and sustainability of economic and social initiatives through an intergenerational dialogue between different skills and talents, to explore possible solutions starting from the real challenges of the businesses involved.

We present the companies featured in Upskill Belluno and the challenges they set for students.

RR Group Ltd. is a company that has been advising companies and individuals on the supply of electricity and natural gas for 10 years, thanks to continuous customer support throughout the duration of the service. For them, our team has envisioned a design challenge involving the development of a study on the potential and implementation of AI technologies in the company's processes, with the aim of increasing efficiency and offering personalized customer experiences.

Tonet & Galvani s.r.l. is a company founded in 1985 that does contract work for the biggest eyewear brands, milling and inserting decorations on temples and fronts. This company aims to maintain the artisanal aspect of the work, while seeking new opportunities for development and innovation.

The design challenge in this case is to come up with a study for the creation of a brand, aimed at enhancing the company's distinctive know-how and enabling it to reach a market segment that appreciates the craftsmanship of the products.

Dumia Social Cooperative was established in 1989 to promote the employment of disadvantaged individuals by offering cultural mediation and psychosocial support services. It also promotes a hospitality service for adults in situations of housing and social hardship.

The design challenge devised by the Upskill 4.0 team with this reality involves developing a study to design spaces (living and nonliving) that facilitate the transition to independence for the facility's guests, ensuring their well-being.

Hotel Des Alpes is a historic family-run hotel in Cortina D'Ampezzo. It stands out for its customer care, thanks to its high-altitude culinary experience and wellness area. It also promotes various activities for tourism in the area.

The project challenge aims to redefine the value proposition of the facility, creating customized activity packages to meet the new needs and interests of tourists, and develop an effective communication plan to promote them.
