Artigiani 4.0 supports business competitiveness through training and acceleration
Lombardy is the national center of fashion and design: an ecosystem with over 8,000 design companies, 11 billion in added value, and about 30% of Italian exports in the sector. In a context of volatile demand and pressure on margins, competitiveness depends on speed of execution and data-driven decisions. Artigiani 4.0 responds with an essential sequence that combines diagnosis, targeted training, and an acceleration path that connects supply chains, districts, and local partners. The project promotes local innovation: it connects companies, associations, and local stakeholders, strengthens international positioning in line with Lombardia Style, and involves leading companies worldwide as a reference and benchmark for standards, processes, and the market.
Measurable competitiveness
The project guides each company towards a prototype or proof of concept tested with customers, a business plan with conversion and margin metrics, defined channel priorities and sustainable pricing, as well as a roadmap of the necessary investments and organizational assets. At the same time, it activates connections between local players to consolidate supply chains, attract opportunities and strengthen the reputation of the Lombardy system.

From training to execution, building a community of businesses
The process begins with selection and diagnosis to map products, channels, operations, and KPIs, then continues with executive training modules on strategy, premium brands, and digital, based on immediately applicable tools. It then enters the operational acceleration phase, in which prototypes are developed, hypotheses are validated with customers, and a 90-day plan is defined together with materials for partners and stakeholders. In addition to advanced training and project development to increase the competitiveness of each individual company, Artigiani 4.0 builds a community of companies capable of innovating and bringing Made in Lombardy to the most competitive markets, activating connections between supply chains, local networks, and leading companies around the world. The entire system is a territorial innovation project: it strengthens collaborations, shares standards and processes, enhances the Lombardy Style identity, and increases the international attractiveness of the system.
